 Great weekend!! The Lady Magic 16u competed in the Surf City Showcase and ended the tournament with a 4-1 record. The girls scored 32 runs and surrendered 11. Highlights included Celina Matthias hitting her first home-run of the season, a monster shot for @ 280 ft. Delanie Chrisman and Stephanie Heyward also went deep missing clearing the fence by about 5 feet. Sydney Rosenblum contributed to the great weekend by hitting a triple. There were scouts on hand both days watching the action and talking to our college liaison. We have 2 more tournaments / showcases left in the fall season. We will be competing in the Toys 4 Tots tournament the weekend of 11/12 in Sacramento and our final showcase will be the Surf City Early Thanksgiving in Huntington Beach the weekend of 11/19. |
