Early Thanksgiving Showcase

cassThe Lady Magic 16U finished the Fall season going 4-1-2 at the Early Thanksgiving Showcase in Socal. It was a very successful season with an overall record of 26-9-4. There were many highlights during the showcase including homeruns from Cassidy Martin, Delanie Chrisman, Amee Aarhus, Zamari Hinton, Courtney Smith and Tori Bellin. toriThe team will now go dark until their first tournament in Spring 2012. Thank you to all our supporters and fans for being there when the girls needed you. Have a wonderful holiday season and we'll see you in Spring 2012!!

Toys for Tots

toys4tots111311The Lady Magic 16U competed in the ASA 18G  "Toys for Tots" tournament last weekend and came out with a 6-1 record and second place. The girls fought down to the wire taking a very talented AASA Gold team into ITB before succumbing 2-1 in the end. Highlights include clutch hitting by Courtney Smith and a homerun by Cassidy Martin. Great fielding by Zamari Hinton, Alejandra "AG" Garcia and Molly Fowkes helped to keep opponents low scoring. mollyQuality pitching from Marriah Levesque and Stephanie Heyward helped keep opponents at bay. Celina Matthias pitched in the championship game and came out with a .88 ERA. The girls improved their record to 22-8-2 on the season and will compete in their last showcase next weekend in Huntington Beach. Special thanks to Bailey O'Mara for helping out this weekend. Hemet Showcase
Celina hits her first homerun of the seasonGreat weekend!! The Lady Magic 16u competed in the Surf City Showcase and ended the tournament with a 4-1 record. The girls scored 32 runs and surrendered 11. Highlights included Celina Matthias hitting her first home-run of the season, a monster shot for @ 280 ft. Delanie Chrisman and Stephanie Heyward also went deep missing clearing the fence by about 5 feet. Sydney Rosenblum contributed to the great weekend  by hitting a triple. There were scouts on hand both days watching the action and talking to our college liaison.Delanie swinging for the fences

We have 2 more tournaments / showcases left in the fall season. We will be competing in the Toys 4 Tots tournament the weekend of 11/12 in Sacramento and our final showcase will be the Surf City Early Thanksgiving in Huntington Beach the weekend of 11/19.

 
Bay Area Showcase
The Lady Magic 16U competed in the Bay Area showcase this past weekend and ended with a 3-2 record. They fought hard and qualified for the gold bracket on Sunday. Overall, they placed 3rd out of 24 teams. Highlights included Celina and Marriah combining to pitch a no hit shut out on Saturday. Stephanie helped our 18G sister team and picthed a shut out against the Lady Hawks.  Thanks Marissa, Amee & Courtney that helped to fill 18G vacancies on the field on Saturday as well.  Congrats to Amee on hitting her first homerun of the fall season!!
