Lady Magic Softball would like to thank everyone who expressed an interest in the Lady Magic organization and the prospect of our beginning a 12u team for the Spring/Summer of 2012. Unfortunately, the pieces are not coming together as quickly as we had, rather optimistically, hoped. The obstacles of trying to form a NEW team in the post-fall/pre-spring time frame proved difficult to overcome in such a short time frame, particularly before play would begin in February.
Therefore, reluctantly, Lady Magic will not be fielding a 12u team for the summer of 2012. Rather, we are refocusing our efforts and taking the time required to plan and properly execute on a strategy which will allow us to field an 12u team in the fall of 2012. The delay will give us the opportunity to ensure that we have the right long term plans for the team in place and that Karen has the right coaching staff in place, rather than rushing the process. That will allow us the confidence that the girls who are eventually on that team will enjoy both their softball, and hopefully, Lady Magic experience. Keep an eye on our website for tryout announcements in August of 2012!
